Elec Eng 5570: Extra High Voltage Engineering
The physical phenomena associated with high voltage dielectric breakdown are presented. Methods of generating and measuring high voltages and currents are explained. Demonstration of design and performance. Field trips to companies for laboratory testing of high voltage according to industry standards will serve as the lab part of the course.
