The Geological Engineering Program at the Missouri S&T offers the master of science in Geological Engineering to those military personnel in the ECCC-RC program. Registrants in this engineering program must complete four shared credit courses and six additional three-credit hour core courses.
Graduates of this program will receive a certificate in Military Geological Engineering and academic credit from Missouri S&T for twelve credit hours of coursework. Eight of these hours are awarded for completing the ECCC-RC program; four are awarded for completing the four one-credit hour courses offered by S&T. Graduates with grades of "B" or better in all four academic courses will be eligible to register for the S&T online Master of Science Degree in Geological Engineering and will not have to take the GRE exam. The twelve-credit hours earned as part of the certificate program will count toward the master's degree program.
Are you a working professional who wants to earn your master's degree, but you don’t have time to take the GRE/GMAT? Then start in a graduate certificate program. Graduate certificates were designed as a pathway to a master's degree.* The admission requirements are more relaxed and credit earned will count toward your degree. Once you successfully earn your graduate certificate, you can continue with the corresponding master's degree without having to take the GRE/GMAT.
This graduate certificate may act as a pathway to the following master’s programs:
*Completion of a graduate certificate program does not automatically guarantee admission into a corresponding graduate degree program. To continue in a master’s degree program, you must apply.
