Education 3170: Teaching Reading and Writing in Middle/High School

Students will learn research-based literacy and writing strategies for their intended content area. Students will focus on the five pillars of reading instruction, especially vocabulary. Instructional interventions for students with reading deficits will be discussed. Effective instruction for English Language Learners will also be addressed.
