Beliefs should be supported by reasons. But are these reasons good enough? How could one know? In this course, students will learn the basic rules of both formal and symbolic logic, including types of argumentation, methods of reasoning, valid reasoning, inductive and deductive reasoning as used in the sciences and in communication in general.
