Psych 5604: Advanced Diversity Science
This course examines social psychological theory and research on barriers and opportunities for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in organizations. The course takes a sociocultural approach to understand the psychological mechanisms of stereotyping, bias, and stigma, as well as strategies (and pitfalls) for creating inclusive and equitable communities. Although diversity science is multidisciplinary, this course is grounded in psychological theory and research, drawing primarily from industrial/organizational, organizational behavior, and social psychological literatures.
